Playtime
by Kim Corum

"Playtime" an erotic novel about an open relationship.

It’s a universal truth. At one time or another, if you are involved in a long-term relationship, the “spark” will eventually falter. What happens then? Divorce? Infidelity? Indifference? If you are like Mona, you convince your spouse it’s time for a little playtime. And from there, you fulfill your most intimate sexual fantasies.

Playtime is not your “ordinary” relationship novel. It never hesitates to tackle issues others writers shy away from. It is not only a story about a man and a woman, it’s a story about outdated social notions and the price we pay for them. Divorce —sometimes — is not a symptom of not enough love but of something missing. Sometimes, that something missing is a bit of passion that can only be found in a new lover’s eyes.

It is ordinarily thought that if you are in a committed relationship, then you’re not supposed to desire others. We all know that, in reality, this is not the case. This novel confronts that outdated premise. In many ways, it’s pro-relationship because the relationship is saved due to the fact that the characters confess their desires, thus opening doors that might have otherwise stayed sealed shut.

Playtime hits on a lot of different subjects, including the taboo. But it’s not all “hardcore”. Mona encounters many hilarious situations which will leave the reader laughing. It is a very honest account of a relationship that is salvaged by daring to be different.
